Since Valentines day is hours away and I got nothing better to do (even though midterm is coming up and my ass is going to be handed to me when the talent show night of the pageant comes up this sunday.) I will just post a new entry about...... you guessed it Valentines.
Valentines.
It originated from Saint Valentine of Terni.
It was said that in Rome, Claudius II, a great Roman emperor, passed a law to stop all the single men in his army from marrying so as to make them more reliable in defending his borders.
Upon hearing this new law, a priest named Valentine decided to meet with young couples to join them in matrimony. Although in the end, he got caught and was sent to jail.
Now you may think that ends the story but as with all stories it has a twist. It was believed that while Valentines was in jail he fell in love with his jailer's daughter who was believed to be blind and healed by Valentine. And on the day of his execution it is said that wrote a letter to the girl and signed it "From you valentine".
He became a saint and a martyr because he did not give up his faith when Emperor Claudius offered him freedom in exchange for his faith in the Lord.
And that is a brief history of valentines. You see the far reaching contributions of Christianity to the world.
Oh yeah I forgot one more person to describe. Cupid. I think he came from the Greeks. Too tired to actually search it. So do me a favor and search it for me. Thanks a million.
Lastly, my mom always said that when you write something and you get ideas from someone else you should credit them for it or else you will go to jail and spend your entire life there. So for fear of going to jail. Here is my Reference:

Sayonara Reader(s). and have A....
P.S.: Valentines does not have to mean you have to have a special boy or girl in your life. Valentines day is about Love. And I'm sure all of us have people we love dearly in life. So in a matter of saying we all have our own Valentine.
Happy Valentines Day my _ _ _ _ _!!

Update.....
This is officially the first post of the year...... and its already February.
Well anyway, I'm going to give an update on the state of my life right now.
First the academics.
Well the academics have surprisingly been good. Despite the fact that I have been at my laziest this past few months. I have not been really studious to start this year and all I have been doing is sleep..sleep.. sleep and lets not forget more sleep. I only study when the test is about a day away. And even then I still go facebooking and listening to music for the most part of that study time and only leave about 5-30 minutes to study. Those damn new year resolutions of not procrastinating anymore, and being serious in studying, only apply during the first month of the year and when its already March all bets are off. Even now as I am writing this I have a test tomorrow for Nat Sci or more specifically Chem 1. I should really be studying right now.......
Oh yeah I also have a ton of things to do this month. One report in Filipino, one report in Bus It Lecture. One term paper for English 2 and also a group report/presentation for english 3. The report in filipino has been put off for almost 4 weeks now. I was supposed to report last January but a lot of things came up that postponed it. So as a result I have been carrying the visual aid for my report for the past 4 weeks because you never know when your teacher suddenly asks you to report. But maybe God has a plan for postponing it this long so as to make me more prepared. I hope so. I should really really be studying right now......
Crap... the new pageant is coming up this month too. And the talent show for that pageant is already fast approaching and I have not once practiced anything and not thought of anything to present. (Why do pageants have talent shows anyway. I mean we should just go directly to the pageant night so as to not make it more complicated and hard as it already is.) I should be really really really studying right now.......
Love life you ask?
Well It has been good. I met this girl and I.............. think I'm giving up too much information already.
This ends Part 1 of a hopefully 3 part post. I cut this short cause well I really really really really have to study right now.

Well I have just recently returned from a very tiring yet enjoying Christmas Journey. So Posting something has not been on the top of my mind these past few days.
But When I arrived home, I opened my facebook and was unpleasantly surprised to find the status of one of my friends was related to my effing BusIT class. The post was related to handouts to be studied in the coming exams.
My reaction after reading that was " S%*T!!, Someones thinking about that kind of thing in the middle of Christmas Vacation!!!?"
I mean, It is quite understandable to think about those school related crap since when classes start again this January, most subjects would be having exams.
You might also say to me, "whats wrong with posting something like that Bryan?, Its his/her facebook he/she can post whatever the heck he/she likes to post and you cant do anything about it."
You would most probably win if you argued with me like that.
But Thanks to that post. I became worried whether I should be studying or be enjoying the little time I have to relax.
Yeah, I have to study for the prelim But Christmas season only comes Once a year, and I dont see anyone reading books and studying lessons during these times because the purpose of having the damn break in the first place to "break from all the studying and all the stress"
I don't really know what to do....... Should I study my lesson, so that I can have good grades and have a better blah blah blah and blah blah blah or should I be enjoying the little time I have before I have to, by obligation, study hard again.
Based from reading this post, I can say, I really don't like to study
I had lots of things to say about this post but every time a good idea came up and I was about to write it, I forget. Crap not this again......

Christmas :)
Christmas is approaching blindingly quick.
it's only about 3 days left before the birth of our Lord.
But before Christmas arrives I would like to share this little experience,
I am sure you all know the man above. He is the famous Santa Claus. The one who is being remembered by every kid in the world during Christmas.
When I was a kid, I really used to think Santa was real (blame American programming for that.) I stayed up late one night just to see if he would put presents under our Christmas tree. So, I sat on our living room that night hoping to catch a glimpse of him. Of course when you are a kid staying up past 8 o' clock is a damn hard thing to do so I dosed off. But I remembered waking up at about 3 o'clock am on Christmas day and I could slightly see the door of our house which was unusually open that night, but still Santa Claus was nowhere to be seen. I was kinda heart broken because of that. I don't know why my parents would let me have that kind of belief since we are Christians and we do live in the Philippines and that Christmas was about the birth of our Lord.
So I was the only who told myself that Santa was not real. Nobody ever said to my face that Santa only lived in malls. Nobody ever said to me that Filipino houses have no chimneys, so how in the world could he get in. Nobody ever said to me that how could a fat, bearded guy who lives in the North Pole travel across the world in one night and still have time to spare to eat those milk and cookies children leave for him.
Well, that to me is still a mystery that i have yet to solve.
I am also sure that many of you also thought that Santa was real. I mean, that just goes to show you how Americanized the Philippines is. We no longer have a connection to our own traditions and beliefs because we have been brainwashed by other culture. BUT I'll just leave the rambling about Americanization of our country to another entry in my blog in the near future.
What I'm trying to say in this entry is that we should focus on the real celebrant on Christmas.
He should be the focus this Christmas. The person who was born to die for our sins. The person who would be the greatest example of selfless love. The person we should all emulate.
The buying of gifts is still important and the food to. But Christmas should be a time of deep reflection, both introspectively and extraneously. We should celebrate but also never forget that we celebrate not because of the food or the gifts but because Our Savior was born and He saved us from our sins.
I hope that we could all reflect this Christmas, including me because like the rest of the world I am a sinner and I have never done serious reflecting on Christmas.
So I start now, How about you?
I would also like to share this article I read

The League Of Extraordinary Bloggers...
It has been 3 days since I started this blog and well I have learned a couple of things;
1. My blog is not the best looking one. I know a blog is not about the visuals but still you gotta make the blog presentable to the people that are going to read it. And after I saw all the other blogs with their music, pictures, moving titles, I said to myself "Wow, I need help with my blog"
2. My topics are kinda boring :). I want to attract readers but a blog is limited by the skills of the blogger in writing and I sadly suck at writing.
I want topics that make people say, "Hey, he's right about that" or "Wow, I know what that feels like" I also want to make people laugh or make them realize something important. You know Ghandi stuff.
3. What you think of in your head of what you are going to write is different when you ACTUALLY are about to write. When you stare at the computer, the thoughts that seemed so organized and complete in your head suddenly go crazy on you. Then suddenly words start to feel weird when used but in your head it was so perfect, then with the lacking of words comes the destruction of ideas, The ideas start to lose substance and feel weak and then in the end what you were going to write is now very different on what you have written.
4. And finally the latest thing I have learned is that it feels great to have a blog. It's even better when the group you are in is called The "Blogger League". I mean doesn't that sound awesome. "Blogger League" It's like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but without the powers, the submarine, and the Indian. The name makes you feel like your part of the best minds in the world that have been brought together for a single purpose, TO BLOG. and that does not seem to be far from the truth. (We save the World, One blog at a time.)
This blog has helped me in a lot of ways. It has kept me from wasting away during Christmas break. Because the trend has always been, every break its either I play a game for a week which in no way helps me improve my mental abilities or I keep on eating which in no way helps me improve my self esteem. And when I return to school my head feels like it needs to wind up again. Like cobwebs have been filling it and it needs some maintenance.
Oh that reminds me of my little tip, don't eat too much this Christmas. Because you don't want the first words to be said to you on the first day of class to be, "Wow, nanambok lagi ka". People don't say, "Wow, Your hair has gotten longer", or "Wow, you look great in your shirt", or "Wow, you smile better now" or it's not even a simple "Hi, How have you been? Christmas great?" Noooo its always got to be, "Wow, You have gotten FAT" Which makes you feel terrible and makes you regret eating that ham on Christmas. mmmmm.. HAM... *drools
Anyway where was I, Oh right This blog has helped to keep my mind sharp. It has also improved my writing skills, in a way.
I hope in time my blogging abilities will improve. And I will be an asset to this League I like to call, The League Of Extraordinary Bloggers. (of course this would be a stupid name to the blogging group we have here so please don't change the "League of Bloggers" name. Thank you :D.)
I think I gotta sleep now, and I'm sleeping to the tune of Insomnia... by Wheesung. His version is actually much better than the original one and I know I am a korean music enthusiast :D And yes, I know its Ironic.....

Well waking up after sleeping late does not always feel good especially when your body is not used to it. And gets worse when you wake up to the tune of Britney Spears' "I'm not a Girl not yet a woman" which is a song I just don't want to understand.
Anyway, there was a lot of topics I wanted to write about. Ever since I started writing this blog, which was about..uhm... when was it?.. oh yeah yesterday at 9 o clock in the evening, (yeah i know I have been writing blogs for a very looooong time.) I have thought of many topics, like writing about the founder of a multi billion dollar empire, or writing about the girl I now consider as my inspiration, or just plain write about anything that comes to mind.
I have not really decided yet on what to write about so for now I will just leave you reader with this quote
Live every day as if it were your last and then some day you'll be right.
~H.H. "Breaker" Morant
Have A blessed day ahead.

Bathroom Thoughts......
I am sure many of us have created essays in our heads while bathing.
But then again how can you write anything when the whole aim is to get your whole body wet. So we probably say to ourselves "well i'll try to write these things down after I finish bathing" but more often that not we forget what we thought about in the bathroom and move on to the normal routine of the day.
If you have not experienced that moment in your life... Well then maybe I am some guy with a brain defect who needs medical help pronto. Or maybe I am a kid who just cannot focus on cleaning himself up and not worry about how he thinks the world is too reliant on crude oil even thought he does not have a car and is far from being able to drive
Whatever the case, A blog is the best solution to expressing all those bathroom thoughts. Thought you still cannot write in the bathroom but at least you have an outlet for those precious thoughts you think about in the bathroom that is better than writing on a piece of paper (that has a high risk of being thrown away or forgotten.)
A blog is defined as website that allows users to reflect, share opinions, and discuss various topics in the form of an online journal while readers may comment on posts.
All the activities we do in a blog the reflecting, sharing of opinions, and discussion help us learn something about ourselves and if we learn more about ourselves we understand ourselves more, and if we understand ourselves more we get a chance to love ourselves more and if we love our selves more we love others more.
Like what is said in the Bible "Love others as you love yourself." That line only works if you love yourself first because how can you love others if you hate yourself. And isn't life all about loving others?
This is the first entry in what i hope will be a whole library of entries. I just realized that my first entry is kind of a long one compared to other bloggers. Oh well i am sure they can forgive the mistakes of a novice blogger.
Now I hope the person reading this has a gotten a little interested of blogging because 90% of the time is that you arrived here because of a link you pressed and you just happen to press the blog of a guy blandly named as the alchemist.
May you find a hint of enlightenment in the opinion of a novice. May the Lord our God bless you.
Now, I think I gotta go to the bathroom.......
P.S. Sorry if there is any errors in the entry because it is 2 am in the morning and the blogger has gotten tired of proofreading his work.
